The Green Investment Corporation has invested in Paulownia Timber Ltd to supply Paulownia timber sourced from full chain of custody sustainable forests where Paulownia trees are planted to produce timber capturing large volumes of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and produce large volumes of Oxygen (O2).

Paulownia is light and extremely strong, it has many exceptional properties and offers numerous advantages over other wood to make products. A feature of Paulownia wood is its ease of working in all aspects of carpentry with no splinters, cracking or splitting. Paulownia timber is water-resistant, exceptionally stable, withstanding warping, breaking and deforming. Although Paulownia wood has a fine structure and a silky smooth surface, without knots, the high ratio of strength to weight makes Paulownia wood irreplaceable in various applications and many industries. Paulownia wood stains and paints well in all varieties of finishes as it is gum not resin based. Finishing with various water-based paints and stains does not risk any reaction with the timber, giving Paulownia products excellent finished surfaces.
